Embodied AI Sustains Eight-Hour Autonomous Production Shift

Figure 03 platforms running the Helix-02 unified neural net sustained a continuous eight-hour production shift with onboard inference, autonomous battery swaps and fault self-diagnosis. SpaceXAI lost more than fifty researchers and engineers to Meta and Thinking Machines since February, the UK Competition and Markets Authority opened a strategic-market-status probe of the Microsoft business software ecosystem with Copilot in scope, and FIS announced an Anthropic partnership targeting a US AML cost base of £26.2B to £29.9B ($35B to $40B). Samsung Q1 operating profit ran more than eight times prior year on AI memory demand at 57 trillion won (£28.4B / $38B). Seven of twelve lenses are heating or hot.

Week 20 . 11 to 15 May 2026

The Lab Became the Bank's Operating Layer

“The week Anthropic crossed into the US bank operations stack while UK supervisors named the same lab as a materiality risk, Chinese labs answered scale with efficiency, and a humanoid robot ran an eight-hour shift on a public livestream.”
Three convergences defined the week: anthropic becomes the bank's operating layer. Compute Efficiency Reframes the Scale Race. UK Tightens the Perimeter While Encouraging Incumbents to Run AI.
